Shipping

All product is shipped via Canada Post, UPS, or Chit Chats, depending on the chosen shipping option. We ship out daily Monday through Friday at 4pm. In the event of a service disruption with Canada Post, Wizard's Tower will hold orders until the disruption is resolved, or you can choose to pay for an alternate shipping option such as UPS or Chit Chats if available in your area.

Wizard's Tower is not responsible for delays within the Canada Post system and does not provide refunds for items that arrive outside the estimated times.

Free Lettermail Shipping applies exclusively to orders placed within Canada that contain ONLY Magic Singles and are over $30 in value before taxes. [****PLEASE NOTE - All Lettermail orders will be held if a Canada Post service disruption is ongoing and will be shipped when the service disruption is resolved. If your order total gets above $150, we have alternate free shipping options available. Orders that are over $150 before tax will qualify to receive discounted Chit Chats Shipping and orders that are above $200 before tax will qualify to receive discount shipping with Canada Post Expedited Shipping, as long as the order does not contain any TCG Sealed products. [****PLEASE NOTE - These Orders will be shipped via UPS or Chit Chats instead of Canada Post if a Canada Post strike is ongoing.****]

Customer will still need to choose that shipping option during Step 2 (shipping method) of the checkout process. Discounted shipping for this promotion only covers up to $20 in shipping costs. Any additional shipping costs are paid by the customer.

Magic Singles are shipped via regular Canada Post Lettermail. If the order contains over 100 cards we recommend choosing Expedited Parcel. If Lettermail is chosen as the shipping option, the order will have to be packaged in 2 separate envelopes. Orders sent by Canada Post Lettermail shipping are not guaranteed and could be lost by Canada Post as there is no tracking available for this shipping option. For guaranteed shipping options, please choose Canada Post Expedited Parcel shipping or UPS shipping during Step 2 of the checkout process.

If multiple orders come in for the same customer during the same shipping period, we will ship the orders together unless noted by the customer that they would like them sent separately.

Any products other than Magic Singles must be shipped by Expedited Parcel (please select the option when checking out) or UPS Standard, and their cost is calcuated based on the weight of the product and shipping address. Please check canadapost.ca for Expedited Parcel delivery standards, and ups.ca for UPS delivery standards.  [****PLEASE NOTE - During the Canada Post Strike, These Orders will be shipped via UPS or Chit Chats instead of Canada Post until the service disruption is resolved****]

Please note that Canadian Lettermail through Canada Post can take 3 to 28 business days. If after 28 business days you still haven't received your order, please contact us and we will investigate further for you. (There are no guarantees on shipping times). If you would like to receive your product quickly, please choose Expedited Parcel or UPS shipping during Step 2 of the Checkout process. [****PLEASE NOTE - During a Canada Post Strike, all Lettermail orders will held and shipped when the service disruption is completed. Once these items start to get delivered again, there will be no guaranteed timelines for delivery.****]

Please note that all orders are shipped to the address provided by the customer in Step 1 of the Checkout process and not any other address you might have, which includes any address that an outside source would have for you, including Paypal.

If an order is returned to us by Canada Post or UPS due to an incorrect, incomplete, or wrong address, the customer is responsible for additional shipping charges to have the order sent out a second time.

We are not responsible for orders that have been lost or not returned to us due to customer giving us an incorrect address which includes missing an apt # with their address.

UPS shipping is available instead of Canada Post Expedited Parcel shipping. UPS does not ship to the following northern provinces/territories: Northwest Territories, Yukon Territories, and Nunavut. Additional shipping charges will be applied to any orders shipping to remote areas. You will have the option to cancel your order if the additional shipping charges are too high. Please choose UPS Standard shipping option during Step 2 of the Checkout Process.
 
Chit Chats is available instead of Canada Post Shipping, but only in certain areas of Canada. Chit Chats does not deliver to PO Boxes, RR, LCD, Newfoundland, Northwest Territories, Yukon, and Nunavut. We can determine if this service is available in your area. 
 
Please note that taxes will still be charged for the amount of shipping paid for your order. Shipping discount doesn't cover taxes paid on the shipping.
 
We reserve the right to ship any shipment to only the billing address provided by the customer. We reserve the right to change shipping from Lettermail to Expedited Parcel shipping for any order.

We only ship within Canada and International shipping is not available.
 

In-Store Pickup Orders

Any returns/exchanges can only be done by the account holder.

Any returns can be refunded in Store Credit or to the original payment method.

If an in-store order is not picked up within 12 months, the contents of the order will be returned to the store. You will be contacted via email at least 4 times before this occurs.

We reserve the right to not give out any orders to anyone that is not the account holder. If account holder is unable to pickup their order in store, you have the option of having it mailed to the BILLING address on file for that particular order. Customer is responsible for all shipping costs.


Store Credit Promotion

In order to qualify for 3% back in store credit, your order must contain ONLY Magic Singles. * Does not apply during other promotions.

Automated Emails

By placing orders or completing a buylist you are opting-in to receiving automated emails about the status of your order. If you choose to use our 'Add to Wishlist' function, you are opting-in to receive automated emails when items on your wishlist come back into stock. To opt-out of automated emails on wishlist items, please remove the wishlited items from your account. This can be done by signing into your account, going to Account --> My Wishlist and removing the items you no longer wish to receive emails about.

Return & Refund Policy

You may return any sealed items (packs, boxes, etc.) within 14 days of delivery for a full refund. We'll also pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.). Unfortunately we cannot accept returns on Magic Card Singles. Customers may not cancel and redo and order for the same item with the purpose of trigerring a current sale or promotion.

Any damages to product shrink wrap such as scuffs, small separations or tears is completely normal and will not be grounds for return or refund. Please note that cosmetic damages including but not limited to package, box dents that do not damage any of the included products are not grounds for return. All our products are delievered to us from official Canadian Distributors.

Please note that price changes on Magic cards happen on a weekly basis. Refunds and credits will not be given for any Magic cards that change price after its release date. 

Paypal refunds are subject to fees of 30 cents + 2.9% of order.

If a card is received in worse condition than stated when purchased, the card can be returned for a full refund or a difference in card condition.

Maximum Quantities To Purchase for an Item

We reserve the right to limit the amount of any product a customer may purchase, so that it is in the best interest to get the product into the hands of as many customers as possible. This could lead to items having daily limits or not being made available to sell online and only be availabale for purchase at our retail location.

The quantity you see listed for cards/products for sale as seen on our online store is our maximum quantity allowed per customer. (For pre-orders this is the maximum amount one customer can purchase before the release date of the product.) If you have pre-ordered the maximum amount for a product, you must wait 28 days after the release of the product to order more of that item. If you have ordered the maximum amount for a product after the release date, you must wait 28 days after your last order of that product, to order it again. For exceptions, please email store@wizardtower.com .

Pre-Order Pricing

Please note that prices for pre-orders are subject to change if a rise in the cost of the product from our distributors rises between the pre-order date and the release of the product. This could occur because, but not limited to, the following reasons:

- Delay in release of product

- Change in cost from our distributor from time of pre-order to time of release

- Tariffs imposed by the government causing an increase in products acquired from the US

- Change in the value of the Canadian Dollar

If a price change occurs from when you purchased the product and the release of the product, you may be asked to pay the difference in price of the pre-ordered item to the increase in cost. You will have the option to keep the pre-ordred product or have your order refunded at that time.

 

Order Cancellation

Wizard's Tower has the right to cancel any order or portion of an order for any reason without prior notification.  If this happens you will be notified immediately as to why we changed your order and any refund that is required will be issued immediately. This can include such things as the announcement of reprinted cards, banned, or unbanned cards. This policy can also affect our buylist prices. Any duplicate orders of the same cards/products could result in the duplicate order being voided and refunded. We reserve the right to modify or cancel any buylist order. You will be notified in the confirmation email. If you send cards that were removed from the order, we will send them back, but we are not responsible for return shipping.  You can either pay for return shipping via one of our accepted payment methods or we can keep cards equal in value to the shipping cost.

All of our prices are displayed in Canadian Dollars.

Payments

Payments can be made via Paypal, Visa or Mastercard.All order placed with a credit card MUST be shipped to the billing address for the credit card, no exceptions. 
If there is an error in payment processing, correct payment is required before an order can be completed or a refund can be issued.

No Paypal? No Problem. 

We use paypal to process all our credit cards but we can still process your credit card without needing to create a PayPal account. The process to do this is quite simple. Just add all the items to your cart and then checkout. In the checkout screen when you're asked what form of payment you want to use select paypal, but don't insert an email address for your paypal. When the checkout process is complete you will be re-directed to a paypal page and select "use paypal as guest". Then you can insert your Credit Card information. From there you should be good to go.

Buylist FAQ/Rules

Here you can find every card we are buying and what we will pay you for it. You will receive an email notification when we receive your cards, and again when we have graded your cards.

Please only ship us cards that are NM. All prices shown are for NM cards.

Non-Foil cards with a buylist price of 0.50 or higher will be accepted in SP (84%) and MP (68%) condition at our discretion.

Basic Lands are only accepted at NM. Cards not accepted will be returned to you at your cost. Cards listed as the incorrect set will not be accepted. Only NM condition foils will be accepted. Any Foils not in NM condition will be returned to you at your shipping cost.

We only accept Near Mint oversized cards.

 

We reserve the right to remove and change the condition of any buylist cards at any time during the process. 

Buylists must be submitted in the exact order shown in the approval email before shipping or dropping your cards off with us.

Buylists must be fully un-sleeved before shipping or dropping your cards off with us. 

Some Magic the Gathering sets are not accepted for purchase and will not show up on the buylist search page. This includes, but is not limited to:

Alpha

Beta

Unlimited 

Grading

To make life simple for our customers, Wizard's Tower only sells cards in 4 conditions: "Near Mint ", "Slightly Played", "Moderately Played", and "Heavily Played".

NM = Near Mint

Cards in Near Mint condition show minimal to no wear from shuffling or general play. A card graded in Near Mint condition is generally indistinguishable from cards in an unsleeved deck of other Near Mint cards. Foils in this category have very little or no scuffing or clouding on the front.

SP = Slightly Played

Cards in Slightly Played condition show definite, minor wear. Examples of cards in this grade include cards with mild border wear, minor corner wear, slight scratching, or scuffing/loss of sheen on the front due to play wear. Foils in this condition will generally have some clouding or wear on the front of the card. Sleeves may or may not be needed to play these cards in a tournament.

MP = Moderately Played

Cards in Moderately Played condition show moderate wear but are still legal for tournament play if sleeved. Examples of cards in this grade include cards with moderate corner wear, moderate border wear, moderate whitening on the back or front face of the card and major scratching.

HP = Heavily Played

Cards in Heavily Played condition show extreme signs of wear from play. Examples of cards in this grade include cards with extreme whitening on the corners and/ or borders on the front and/or back of the card. Possible water damage.  Signs of little to extreme creasing may be present on the corners or within the card. Cards in Heavily Played condition are generally not tournament legal even while sleeved. 

**Damaged

We do not sell or buy cards that would be considered damaged. Damage to cards includes, but is not limited to, the following:

Water damage

Tears/rips/punctures

Sharpie marks or other forms of marking (i.e. stamps, signatures, other writing)

Folds

Substance residue (i.e. food residue, bodily fluids)

**Defective cards

We do not sell or buy cards that would be considered defective. Defects include, but are not limited to, the following:

Cards with errors during production (i.e. 2/3 Corpse Knight printing error)

Ink defects

Foiling defects

Severely mis-cut cards

Crimped cards 

Why did my Buylist Change?

Cards could be removed from the buylist during the approval process if we already have enough copies coming in from other customers. This happens because unlike when customers buy cards from us, cards that customers are selling to us do not get added into inventory until we receive them. This could lead to multiple customers and instances of the same card trying to be sold to us. To negate this, we may remove items from your buylist during the approval process. 

You could see a difference in the price and grading of cards from the first processed email to the final email. This is because we do two passes for grading on all cards coming into the store for grading accuracy purposes. This could cause some cards to be corrected during the second grading process. After the grading process is completed, returns are grouped with stickers under categories to denote roughly why your cards were returned. This may include, but is not limited to:

Cards submitted as the incorrect Finish or Set.

Cards submitted do not meet our minimum quality standards.

Cards were still submitted even after being removed during Approval. 

If you are not sure what condition one of your cards is in, feel free to email us a photo before submitting your order and we will be happy to give a preliminary grade. This grade is not guaranteed as scans do not always show the exact condition. Wizard's Tower does not allow anyone to cash out any existing or new Store Credit in exchange for cash. 

All cards not accepted will be held for 30 days and are the responsibility of the sender to have them returned at their cost. After 30 days, any rejected cards not returned to sender will be donated to local players in our community. 

Please choose one of the following options to have your rejected cards returned to you:

-We can take an amount of Store Credit equal to $2.61 off your account to have these cards returned to you immediately. Over 100 cards will require expedited shipping the cost of which will vary. Store credit can be purchased in our online store if not already present on your account.

- You can choose to pick them up in-store.

- You can place an order with our online store and have the cards mailed to you with the order you place. If you choose this option, please make sure in the order notes that you quote the Buy Order #'s from which the returned cards would be from.

- You can choose to leave the cards with us, and we will donate the cards to our new players.

Quantities of the finish, version, and set of each card on our buylist are listed separately.

We reserve the right to remove cards from the buylist at any point at our discretion. 

Why was my Buylist rejected?

A full rejection of a buylist occurs when there is a consistent pattern of infractions against our Buylist policies.

There are many factors that could contribute to a full rejection of a buylist. These reasons include, but are not limited to:

Multiple signs of sharpie/ marked cards.

Multiple signs of fake cards.

Buylist is completely damaged.

Buylist is out of order.

Buylist is sleeved.

Buylist emits a non-neutral scent. *

*Buylists emitting a non-neutral scent are subject to immediate full rejection as scent cannot be regulated and poses a quality risk to existing inventory.

 

Payment Options, Issues, & Trade Credit Bonuses

Paypal payments and Cheque payments are completed each Sunday.

For Paypal payments, if you need it sooner, you can email us to request payment. PayPal payments are sent to the email address provided upon initial buylist submission. Paypal payments are made in CAD. Paypal fees for international customers will be removed from the buylist payment.

We are not responsible to pay any custom costs for buylists sent to us from outside of Canada. If there is a customs fee when we receive the buylist, it will be rejected and sent back to you.

You can also receive a 30% bonus if you would rather trade your cards for Store Credit. If you would like to trade instead of selling your cards, choose Store Credit as your payment option when submitting your buylist and we will issue you Store Credit.
