Zendikar is a dangerous world of lethal risks where brave adventurers delve into ancient ruins in search of priceless rewards. The storyline features no Eldrazi but we see the ruin they have caused. From the perspective of its inhabitants, it is a hostile place that seems to be actively trying to kill the creatures that have the audacity to live there. The danger is unrelenting: precarious terrain, cunning predators, natural disasters on a massive scale, and the still continuing Roil — the unpredictable ripples of change that wash through the land — all present a constant challenge to survival. Nahiri has returned to Zendikar, and is willing to do anything to get rid of the Roil.

Each Expedition found in Expedition Box Toppers is a non-foil and has been treated with a stunning, smooth high-gloss varnish treatment on elements of the frame.
The Zendikar Rising Expedtions are 30 lands picked from among the best lands ever printed in Magic. They each feature the Zendikar Expedition expansion symbol. This distinction from the Zendikar Rising symbol is to indicate and remind players that they aren't legal in Standard, as this printing of Expeditions doesn't impact what formats these cards are legal in.
Expedition Box Toppers are available in foil and non-foil! These foil Expeditions have the same high-gloss varnish treatment as their non-foil counterparts and contain the same set of 30 cards.
The Zendikar Rising Art Series is a series of 81 art cards that can be found in Zendikar Rising Set Boosters.
The front side depicts a piece of art from the set in a horizontal orientation. The card back is mostly blank, with some collector's info (Magic logo, illustration credits, legal text and collector numbers). They are similar to an artist's proofs and thus provide room to get an artist's signature or drawing on it. They can also be used as tokens for copy effects, as proxies, or if it is for a legendary creature it could be a good way to store experience counters, life total, commander tax, etc.
There are no foil art cards. Instead, all of them are treated with a specially developed gloss varnish that brings out the art. The backs are left uncoated. Five percent of the time, rather than a normal art card, you'll get one with a gold-stamped signature of the artist. Every art card exists in both its normal version and its signature version.
1 in 4 Set Boosters will also contain a card from The List. The List is a curated list of 300 cards from Magic's history chosen to show off the cool and weird history of Magic.
Two Zendikar Rising Commander Decks are released together with Zendikar Rising. These are meant to be on-ramps to Commander, with a few new cards (three per deck) and the rest reprints.
Like with Ikoria Commander, the new cards are themed to the world and the reprints can be from anywhere.
